Department of Electrical Engineering

“Expert in Expertise”
Electrical Engineering Department is a youngest department of the Institute. The department has progressed at a rapid pace in all the required domains such as experienced faculties, infrastructural facilities, academics etc. The department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty members engaged in teaching and research and very good linkages with the Industry personnel to achieve excellence in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Electrical engineering department was established in the year 2014 approved by AICTE, New Delhi with intake capacity of 60. Electrical engineering (E.E.) is one of the broadest of all engineering majors and is much more than just building electrical circuits. Electrical engineering is the application of electronics, electrical science and technology, and computer systems to the needs of society. An electrical engineer is responsible for designing and integrating electronic/electrical systems in diverse industries such as defense, communications, transportation, manufacturing, health care, construction, power/energy, and entertainment.

The B.TECH. Degree in electrical engineering begins with a first year emphasis on enriching the basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering subjects of all branches which are essential to engineering students. In the second year most of the course works consists of required electrical engineering subject and laboratory courses that build base for electrical engineering. In third year and final year, all course work is application oriented along with seminars and projects where students can build a working model whatever they learnt in six semesters and presents seminars based on it. The compulsory internship program is inducted by the University recently, however it is a regular practice in the department to provide internship opportunities after completion of third semester till final year.
