Electrical Engineers are much in demand in India and everywhere. In recent years, from houses to companies everywhere there is a necessity of electricity to function, offering numerous opportunities to electrical engineers. These engineers can work in atomic power plants, hydro or thermal power plants.
The department of Electrical Engineering initiated its journey in 2008 under MSBTE. The department has well equipped labs and is endowed with well qualified faculties along with this the department gives full opportunities for students to groom into influential professionals. Electrical Engineering deals with the study & application of Electricity, Electronics & Electromagnetism. Electrical Engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including Power Engineering, Instrumentation, Digital & Power electronics, Illumination engineering. Many of these sub disciplines overlap with other engineering branches, spanning a huge number of specializations such as Illumination engineering, power electronics, Instrumentation, Renewable energies & many more. Our department has a team of qualified enthusiastic, experienced and committed faculty and staff members. We always work with the motto that “Right education can bring about the desired change in the society”. Other than teaching learning we emphasize on various activities such as expert lectures, Industrial visits, Technical events, Cultural and Sports events and Soft Skills with a purpose to transform our students into strong individuals dedicated towards social welfare. As the demand of Electricity increasing day by day so contribution of electrical engineers increases in the sector of Electricity generation, Electricity transmission, electricity distribution, maintenance of electrical equipment and installation of Electrical Equipment.
Electrical Engineer demand is in various sector like thermal power plant, hydro power plant, solar power plant, wind power plant, industries etc.
In current scenario we must focus on renewable energy sources like

- Solar roof top installation not only for household purpose but also for transportation like Electric vehicle charging.
- In hilly area wind mills electricity generation.
- In ocean generation of electricity by wave and tilde system.
Courses Offered
The curricula of programs have been designed to cater to the ever changing needs and demands of IT industry. The focus is on holistic learning and empowering students to make significant contributions at all levels. The cafeteria system of electives gives a handful of choices for the students to develop expertise in their area of interest.
