Grievance Redressal Committee
As per the rules and regulations addressed by the AICTE / UGC /State Govt, for student or other stake holders in a Technical Institution, “Grievance Redressal Committee” of J.D. College of Engineering & Management, Nagpur(An Autonomous Institute), has been constituted with following Staff in different positions to enquire the nature and extent of grievance.The Committee has been constituted for three year(Ref.No:JDCOEM/GR/2020/3CC) on dated 02/07/2022

The above committees/cells/units are duly constituted for resolution of various types of grievances:
A) Academic and Curricular Issues
- Matters pertaining to Teaching-Learning: Teacher Gurdians; class in charges under Dean Academics
- Matters pertaining to Examinations: Internal Assessment Committee under COE
B) Non-Academic Issues
- Matters pertaining to general discipline: Discipline Committee
- Matters pertaining to discrimination: Anti-Discrimination cell
- Matters pertaining to sexual harassment: Internal Complaints Committee
- Matters pertaining to ragging: Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Cell
Scope
The Committee deals with Grievances received in writing from the students about any of the following matters:-
Academic Matters: Related to timely issue of duplicate Mark-sheets, Transfer Certificates, Conduct Certificates or other examination related matters.
Financial Matters: Related to dues and payments for various items from library, hostels etc,
Other Matters : Related to certain misgivings about conditions of sanitation, preparation of food, availability of transport etc,.
Role and responsibility of the Grievance Redressal Cell:
- To facilitate the submission of students and faculty grievances regarding physical facilities.
- To ensure that the grievances are properly addressed on all the platforms.
- To provide the amicable solution to the aggrieved students in the wake of his/her grievance.
- To strengthen grievance redressal mechanism in the institute.
- To maintain the documentation of the various cases.
Students may register their grievances through the following channels
Offline Mode
- The aggrieved student(s) may directly approach the Convenor of appropriate committee with a written application or through email.
- In case of ragging related grievances, the aggrieved student (s) may directly inform any of the members of the Anti-Ragging Committee and/or Anti-Ragging Cell, on mobile. The details of the Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti Ragging Cell are published on the website.
- Grievances, on plain paper, may be posted in complaint boxes fixed around the campus at the following places:
- In the corridor of each department
- Outside Library Block
- Near Principal’s Office of the Main Building
- In the Co-operative Area
- For matters of teaching-learning and internal assessment, students are advised to first express their grievance to the concerned faculty members (teacher Guardian). On non-resolution of grievance, the student may approach the Convenor of respective committee with a written application or through email.
Aggrieved student (s) may also submit their grievance in writing or through email to the Principal, JDCOEM or deanssd@jdceom.ac.in
